Domestic indices logged modest gains in a volatile session of trade led by index heavyweights Reliance Industries and HDFC. Domestic stocks drifted higher in early trade as buying resumed in index pivotal after recent slide. Volatility ruled the roost as key indices sharply pared losses soon after hitting fresh intraday low in afternoon trade. Indices extended gains and hit fresh intraday high in late trade. The Nifty 50 gained 59.95 points and settle the day at 11536.90.Pharma sector were the major gainer and Media sector were major loser of the day.
