Benchmark indices traded flat on the second trading session of the last week of F&O expiry. The sentiments were muted today as the investors wait for any further cues from the Federal Reserve on the rate hike in US economy this year at the central bankers meeting in Jackson Hole this week. Nifty traded range bound to give flat closing at 8632 just 3.45 points higher. IDEA, Bank of Baroda, INFY and Hcltech were the top gainers of the day while BHEL, BPCL, Tata Motors and NTPC were the top losers of the day.
Global Markets Update:
- European stocks surged on Tuesday session, after the release of mixed data from Germany and France also participants are keeping eyes on the upcoming speech of Federal Reserve Chairperson Janet Yellen due in this week’s end.
- Amazon.com Inc has started working on a music subscription service costing about USD 5 a month, which is likely to launch in September 2016 and major deals with publishers are in the pipeline.
